Yellow Tulips

Write Tribe

I am taking part in The Write Tribe Festival of Words 1st - 7th September 2013.

Day 5 - Yellow Tulips

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Violet had just seated herself when Mr Blue Eyes gave her a bouquet of yellow tulips. She accepted them with grace and blushed even more. They were fresh and surely hard to find. Violet felt honoured that he took the pains to find such fresh tulips.

The lunch was ordered and while they waited, conversation flowed. They spoke of themselves, their likes and dislikes. Their habits, dreams and goals. The seem to fit so well together almost as well as two pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. Violet was smiling from ear to ear throughout the conversation and so was Mr Blue Eyes. Violet noticed the twinkle in his beautiful blue eyes when he smiled. Lunch seemed more delicious than the usual although Violet was not really hungry.

After lunch, they decided to go to the nearest shopping mall. They spent some time there, going into random shops and wandering around. After about two hours of walking around and generally being happy with each other, they decided to return. He drove her to the house and left her at the gate.

Within five minutes of him leaving he called and said, "May I say something?"

                Violet replied, "Of course!"

                "I love you!"

Violet smiled and replied, "I love you too!"
