I am taking part in The Write Tribe Festival of Words 1st - 7th September 2013.
Day 6 - Orange Sky
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rejoicing in joy, Violet began to dance by herself in the room after disconnecting the phone. She was in her own world of dreams, dancing to a tune in her head. Her mother silently watched her from the door. After about ten minutes, cleared her throat and Violet stopped midway of a step and blushed seeing her mother.
"I take it, that you both are doing well together?", queried her mother.
"Yes mother." , shyingly replied Violet.
Her mother smiled and left her to her dreams...
Violet and her blue-eyed gentleman had decided to go to the sea-face just before dusk. She looked at the clock and realised she should be ready as he will come soon to pick her up. So she got ready yet again for the next date with him. She thought, "How weird is that! Two days ago I was sitting anxiously waiting for a person and today I going on my second date with him! Not just the date part but also we have already confessed our love!"
They drove to the sea-face and then sat enjoying the wind till the sky had an orange tinge and the bright sun was setting. They were speaking continuously but on noticing the sunset, they both suddenly went silent. A moment or two later, Violet opened her purse and took out the envelope, she had made this morning. Mr. Blue-eyes looked surprised when he handed it to her.
He open the envelope soon to see its contents and was impressed by the card and the words inside. He also was a bit overwhelmed, that all he could do was lean and give a peck on her cheeks. Then slowly recovering from the card, he asked, "When did you get time to make this?"
Violet blushed again, "Well, I made it in the morning and it was in my purse."
