Red Wine and A Rainbow

Write Tribe

I am taking part in The Write Tribe Festival of Words 1st - 7th September 2013.

Day 7 - Red Wine
                &
          A Rainbow
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Violet and her Blue-eyed gentleman then went to a restaurant for their first candle-light dinner. They ordered a bottle of red wine to celebrate finding each other. They smiled a lot at each other and just enjoyed each moment of their newly formed love. Both of them felt a passion within them growing as they spent time together. The dinner was undoubtedly excellent and the accompanying music was exceptional.

After dinner, they returned to Violet's home and to their surprise, his parents were also there. The four greeted them with much happiness and congratulated them. Once the initial excitement calmed, Violet's mother brought some sweets and all devoured on them.

Soon, the topic shifted to wedding - when, where and how?

The blue-eyed gentleman reacted, "Are we not hurrying?" He looked at Violet in hope she would agree.

Though Violet knew it was a bit of a hurry, she was happy to be with him and was even happier to commit sooner rather than later. She smiled knowing his wishes and added, "I agree, is it not a bit too soon?"

So it was left for the time-being. But not for too long!

Violet and her handsome blue-eyed gentleman were married soon. The wedding was beautiful and perfect in all senses. There was even a magnificent rainbow that many pointed and photographed during the reception outdoors.

-----------------------------------------The End.--------------------------------------

Yay! I finished Violet's story in seven-parts successfully...I hope you all enjoyed it. Do comment!

I would like to add my gratitude to Corinne for holding the Write Tribe Festival. And loads of love to Aswathi, Vinay & Meena! Last but not the least I would like thank you all!!

  3. Now I shall have to go back and read the first six parts! Don't worry - reading the ending first has never deterred me. I do hope Violet and her blue-eyed gentleman live happily ever after. I suppose they waited just long enough? :)

  7. I was hoping for a much bigger red than just red wine :) Other parts had a bigger aspect to each color, and I felt the red would be the biggest perhaps, since it is a love story.

That said, I loved the series, and like I've been telling on messages, this was a very simple, sweet and innocent story connected by colors :) I hope you continue to write such stories. I'd definitely follow it Appuse.

The rainbow in the reception was a nice touch too btw :)
