MIxed feelings...

I guess my title says it all...too many thoughts rush through my head which seems to be on overtime and doesn't want to stop...

Status checks:

1) Thesis - written, being corrected as I write but not submitted...

2) Home Sweet Home - tickets booked about a month ago but in two days ...here I come home sweet home!

3) Packing - going on...cannot help think of my parents who shifted several times...I have no idea how to fit my four years into two suitcases!!

4) Friends - getting harder to say goodbye...I keep trying not to think about the goodbye...but cannot seem to stop!

5) ...do I need to say more ...mixed feelings fill my heart and I feel anger, happiness, sadness, frustration, fear, anxiety ...all at the same time...did you know you can feel all of them together?

  1. I so do not understand you,you sure are different from me,I'd be the happiest girl in the whole USA that's a cute song by the way sung by an American woman with MS named Donna,it could be the "Oh Donna" in the song.Anyway, you made such an important decision for your life,so have a good time and enjoy it,it only comes around ever so often in our lives.Hug and cry when you say good bye and really FEEL the tears.

  2. Congratulations Dr. Aparna Radhakrishnan.

I sure understand how you feel. I know we can feel all of them together. You are looking forward to be with your parents and family. At the same time, you don’t want to say good bye to your comfortable and secure life within Cambridge U and friends.

This is a small world after all. You can reach any friend at any time on any day within a matter of few seconds via smartphone and cam.

Thank God you don’t have (I think) student loan or car loan.

As your long time friend, here are 2 unsolicited advice for you. Define your goals (short term and long term). Don’t be hard on yourself.

    Go Break A Leg girl.

    1. Thank you SG...though I am not yet a doctorate...seems still a long way to that...defining goals...well I have managed with short term goals...they seem to work well for me...long term is just too difficult... :)

  3. I am glad short term goals worked for you. Long terms goals will also work for you. As I said don’t be hard on yourself. It has been a long time since I received an email from you. I know you are busy.
