Holidays awaited...

The countdown continues...I have 24 days more to go home for my holidays...but I am getting itchy, restless and irritated with the wait!!

I seem to countdown the days faster in my head than it actually is...well what was I expecting, if I started counting down from the day I booked my ticket...which by the way was in August...yes..that is how eager I am to get home..

What am I looking forward to this holidays?...well, here is a short list (not in any particular order):
1) Being with my mother and father as much as possible...
2) Having fun with my sister, bro-in-law & my darling nephew...
3) Pampering my nephew as much as I can...
4) Meeting my granny, uncles & aunties
5) Chatting (gossiping) away to glory with as many cousins as possible!
6) Attending my best friend's wedding...
7) Having my mother's food!!!!!
8) Pampering my mother - how?...well I want to cook for her...treat her like a queen ...atleast one day...I really want to give her a break from the kitchen...but...I am not sure I can really do that...
9) Catching up with old friends...oh this is going to be the fun bit...as many are married now...some even have kids...
10) Loads of other things...which I cannot recollect now...because of the excitement...yes..I am already in India..

What I dread the most?
1) Coming back....
2) the hectic schedule that I am going to have the minute I land till the minute I arrive back...

I end my post with a prayer...God..please fast forward the next 24days but make the 29 days after that in slow motion...Please let me enjoy my motherland as much as possible and return refreshed!

  1. Nice post. Clearly shows your eagerness to be with your family and friends. I am sure you will thoroughly enjoy your vacation. May God make the 29 days in India go in a slow motion.

There is one catch. Your number 9 on the list. You can go to the place but not to the time. Your old friends who are now married (and some have kids) have new "family" and new "friends". It will be wonderful if they show the same enthusiasm in seeing you as like the old days.
