My first payasam (kheer) ...

Hi...

Today ...we had a picnic lunch in our lush green campus in Cambridge. So, for the picnic, most people brought something to eat...

So three days back when I was asked to join in the picnic, I decided to try my hand at making "pal payasam" (pal="milk", payasam/kheer=name for an Indian sweet).

With no prior knowledge of how to make it or how much to make, I was in a bit of a fix but all the same, I managed the same. What is Google for? So I found a simple recipe to make pal payasam with condensed milk...followed most of it...rest is my own..

Result : 3.5L of Payasam for about 30 people...I know I made too much! But that's beginner's luck! A few people tasted it during the picnic..but whoever did...said it tasted good......later people mentioned it was a logistic problem...it was something unsuitable for a picnic...well I tried...

My Indian friends who know the taste of payasam said that it was pretty good... and I am just generally happy about my efforts....
:) :)
