Boredom & Curiosity

"The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity." - Dorothy Parker

I read the above quote and two things popped into my head...

1) Interesting, thought-provoking for a person who is bored.
2) If the cure for boredom is curiosity and there is no cure curiosity, I should develop that...but what does one do for a lack of curiosity...how does one cure that?

Well..what did those thoughts are now being realised as a post. I almost started with dictionary meanings of boredom and curiosity...then decided against...in the fear of getting everyone bored instead of curious ...  :-)

So does anyone know a cure for lack of curiosity??????

  1. Nice post, as always.

I am not that much intellect or intelligent. However, here is my suggestion. Knowledge is the “cure for curiosity”. Empathy is the “cure for lack of curiosity”.

    Happy New Year to you.

  2. I don't know what the cure for lack of curiosity is. But I can tell you that lack of curiosity could also mean contentment :-)!

  3. @SG:Hmm...I somehow do not think empathy helps lack of curiosity...

@knot2share: I totally agree that lack of curiosity means contentment but that could be dangerous for the career I have chosen...Scientific Research...what do you say?
