Photographer Michel Denis-Huot, who captured these amazing pictures on safari in Kenya's Masai Mara in October last year, said he was astounded by what he saw:
"These three brothers (cheetahs) have been living together since they left their mother at about 18 months old,' he said. 'On the morning we saw them, they seemed not to be hungry, walking quickly but stopping sometimes to play together. 'At one point, they met a group of impala who ran away. But one youngster was not quick enough and the brothers caught it easily'".
These extraordinary scenes followed.

ReplyDeleteOne of the best posts from you Aparna. Excellent pictures. A few pictures described what 1000 pages cannot do. Animals hunt only when they are hungry. Humans are predators. Humans are the only creatures that hunt when they're not hungry.
ReplyDeleteCame back to see . Excellent pictures.
ReplyDeleteSG That's a true statement and so very sad nevertheless you do speak the truth and it's very refreshing, to me at least some folks could get turned off by it but I embrace it and like Mick Jagger sung so well "It's a Gas".Thanks a million and keep on being true to yourself and telling the truth no matter what it costs you and I know it costs you a lot.
ReplyDeleteAR That's True Beauty! Thanks a million, you've made my day with this post."Some Day over the rianbow..."
ReplyDelete@SG: Thank you and I totally agree with you, human beings are the predators. There is a famous saying that if cockroaches become extinct then the whole world will be extinct in a few years but if human beings become extinct, then nature will thrive.
ReplyDelete@chitra & @Barbie : I am happy you enjoyed it...
ReplyDeleteare you sure, Aparna... the leopard could be tasting and smelling it's prey before the hunt :P :P
ReplyDeleteBut all courtesy our intelligent brain, we store and we hoard, and we hunt for pleasure!! That's not done!!
